You can pay for the program just like you would at any boot-camp program. Its 20k for data science or full stack, mobile, etc, its 9 months if you choose full time. They also have an Income Share Agreement, where you take the program with no money down and pay it back later once employed and once you make over 50k. They will check your tax returns etc. And very recently, they added a new stipend option where theyll pay you $2,000/month for 9 months and you pay them back once employed. First off, I am not affiliated with this program nor do I know it that well but I think the idea is very, very interesting. Its a full time where you can reinvent yourself and switch careers. There is no free lunch, this is like getting a loan based on your aptitude. If you are a fast and independent learner, this may not be for you as there are plenty of boot camp equivalent programs out there for free where the end result may be the same as this isnt granting you a bachelors or masters degree. But I am very intrigued about learning with no upfront cost. if you are laid off, or if your job is automated, i think programs like there are great. They cater to high-income professions and are a guiding light to what is possible and where you should focus if you are looking for a new career. So kudos to the lambda school for disrupting this space! Related to this topic the Arizona State University/edX program that offers a series of college-level classes for credit - how this works!
